It's official that Zomato has bought Uber eats & has become undisputed market leader in the food delivery category in India.
Zomato announced it to the world by saying "Welcoming Uber Eats India users and partners to Zomato " There were rumors flying around since December 2019 regarding what just actually happened today. Uber eats users have become Zomato users.
This entire situation is definitely going to affect Swiggy. This Rs 2,485 crore all-stock buying of Uber eats by Zomato has brought Zomato on top. It's a neck & neck between Zomato & Swiggy.

Unfortunately, Zomato will not absorb Uber eats employees, they either will be given jobs in other verticals of Uber or will be probably jobless.
Personally, I will kinda miss Uber Eats, the offers were so great & delivery charges were the lowest. What are your thoughts on this Zomato- Uber deal?
