When you have obsessed over Sarojini Nagar for years & you finally visit. It entirely different experience.
A trip to Delhi without a Sarojini Nagar visit is just stupid. I bet you wouldn't be able to leave without overshopping & ultimately overpacking your bag. Sarojini Nagar was just like I had imagined.
As you enter the market you'll be mindblown with the variety & quantity of things you see. You'd not believe if I didn't have proof. But there were such smart & cozy sweaters just for 50 rupees!! Winters in Delhi are frigid & when we visited it was December hence, all we could see was winterwear. We were from Mumbai where winters are short & not so cold, weren't able to buy a lot there. Isliye couldn't buy much stuff, but I still got a few sweaters & some earrings! The goods you see there is either a surplus or defective. Well, one thing to remember, Sarojini Nagar is officially shut on Monday, but other vendors take that place to sell their goods. It is even cheaper than the regular market.
After roaming for a while, we were a bit hungry. That's when we came across a momo stall. For the very first time in life, I enjoyed eating veg moms. Later we had an AMAZING Aloo Tikki Chaat. (Delhi is famous for chaats) That's how my Sarojini Nagar trip ended.
Tip: Do Bargain but under a limit. :)
