India is blessed with a 7,000 km long coastline. There are some unique Indian beaches on both, the western and the eastern coasts of India. Some of them are the most stunning beaches that one can visit in India. If you miss these beaches, you are missing on a great deal!

1. Bangram Beach, Lakshadweep Island

It is a bioluminescent beach floating on the Arabian Sea, in the Lakshadweep Island, the Bangram beach is known for the phenomenon of bioluminescence. At night, the beach waters get illuminated due to the activity of phytoplankton. You can even go Snorkeling/Scuba Diving in the crystal clear water this beach has. This is what makes this beach one of the unique beaches in India.

The airport of the Agatti is the place from where one can take a ferry to the beach.




2. Arambol Beach, Goa

Arambol beach is in Goa. This is one of the most peculiar beaches in India. It is the only beach in India where one would find sweet water instead of saltwater. This is due to the freshwater lake near the sea.

This beach is also known as the Russian beach in Goa & is famous for beach parties.

Dabolim airport in Goa is from where one can hire a taxi reach at this beach.




3. Radhanagar Beach, Andaman

One of the most beautiful beaches in the Andaman Islands. It has blue water and it is considered as the best beach in Asia. The sand here is pure white and the green palms give it that magic look. It is listed in the top 10 beaches of the world.

Situated in the  Havelock Islands, Andaman is easily accessible and is about 70 km from Port Blair airport.




4. Juhu Beach, Mumbai


It is popular and crowded. The tourists from all over India are crazy to visit this beach. The beach is quite safe. It's one of the landmarks of Mumbai. There are many stalls here to satisfy the hunger of the visitors. Snacks like bhel puri, pani puri and South India food are mouth-watering. At times you may find madaris showing bandar ka khel (Monkey performance) . The famous Iskon temple is very close to this beach.

Juhu Beach can be easily reached from Santacruz or Vile Parle, Mumbai.




5. Chandipur Beach, Balasore, Odisha

Chandipur Beach is one of the most unusual beaches in India. It is famous as the magical hide and seek beach because it vanishes away during every ebb tide. This happens twice a day. The beach totally disappears underwater as if there was no land at that place.

The nearest railway station to reach there is Balasore.



6. Om Beach, Gokarna, Karnataka

This beach gets its name from its unique shape. The contours of this beach resemble the ‘Om’. It has clean sand, and ancient temples are in its vicinity.

7. Nagoa Beach, Dui

Nagoa Beach in Dui is quite a popular tourist attraction. It is necklaced by rare Hoka trees. Hoka Trees were brought here by the Portuguese during their journey to India.

The nearest airport is that of Diu airport and the nearest railway station is that of Veraval.


8. Cola Beach, South Goa

Goa has many beaches. Cola Beach is the most offbeat out of all. It has unbelievable natural beauty. Cola Beach has scenic views to offer. The gentle waves hitting the rocks and crashing on the golden grainy sand make this destination romantic.
