Located opposite Parvati cinema (rear side ), is Vasai's famous Santosh Misal pav eatery. The place is situated on the roadside and easy to find. The timings (presently) of their business is from morning 8.00 am to 12.00 noon. They started 21 years back with a small humble Haat Gadi, but today it's a full-fledged food outlet. Initially, Santosh Misal Pav had a number of items on their menu but slowly due to Misal being in high demand, they reduced the items on the menu to focus on selling the best. Misal pav is their specialty. People are drawn to this place not only from Vasai but also from Naigaon, Nalla Sopara, and distant Virar.
The secret of Santosh Misal Pav's success lies in the home ground masala. The masala ingredients are grown and brought from their native village. The full family is involved in this business. They have stuck to good quality and hygiene. This place is reputed for being customer friendly. When you place your order, you can see the efficiency of their service. You have a choice to make from less spicy, medium, or hot spicy misal.
"I & my wife started this business on a Hath Gadi 21 years back & 5 years ago we shifted to this shop. The secret behind the taste is the home gained species which we get from our village every three months" Mr. Santosh, owner of Santosh Misal Pav.
Our experience was super satisfying. We ordered a parcel for two hot spicy misals (one with curds) and Kanda poha. The food over here is spicy & I would highly recommended to people with high spice tolerance. You may get a choice between having it spicy or extremely spicy & both have their own special experience.
We really enjoyed eating. The pav quality and freshness were also good. The rates are quite reasonable.
My absolute favorite from Santosh Misal Pav Vasai was VadaMisal!
Our opinion is, you should give a try, but if you are not used to chilies, then opt for lesser spicy misal.
